ၿပီးခဲ့တဲ့ ၂၀၀၀ ခုႏွစ္ တစ္၀ိုက္တုန္းက ကမာၻ႕ နံပါတ္ ၁ ေနရာကို အႀကိမ္ႀကိမ္ ရရွိခဲ့ၿပီး ေဘာလံုး အင္အားႀကီး ႏိုင္ငံ တစ္ႏိုင္ငံအျဖစ္ အသိအမွတ္ ျပဳခံခဲ့ရတဲ့ ျပင္သစ္ အသင္းဟာ လတ္တေလာ မွာေတာ့ ေတာ္ေတာ္ေလး ရုန္းကန္ ေနရတဲ့ အေနအထား ျဖစ္ေနပါတယ္။ ၁၉၉၈ မွာ ခ်န္ပီယံ၊ ၂၀၀၆ မွာ ဒုတိယ ျဖစ္ခဲ့တဲ့ ျပင္သစ္ အသင္းဟာ ဒီႏွစ္ၿပိဳင္ပြဲမွာ ေျခစစ္ပြဲ ေအာင္ဖို႔ေတာင္ သမာတဲ့ နည္းလမ္းေရာ၊ မသမာတဲ့ နည္းလမ္း ေတြနဲ႔ပါ အသံုးျပဳၿပီး ႀကိဳးစားခဲ့ရတာကို ေတြ႕ရပါတယ္။ အထူးသျဖင့္ ေနာက္ဆံုး paly-off အဆင့္မွာ အိုင္ယာလန္ အသင္းကို အြန္နရီရဲ႕ ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္ ရွိရွိ လက္ထိေဘာနဲ႔ အႏိုင္ယူၿပီး ေနာက္တစ္ဆင့္ တက္ခဲ့တာေၾကာင့္ ပရိသတ္ေတြ အၾကား ဟိုးေလးတေၾကာ္ေၾကာ္ ျဖစ္ခဲ့ရ ပါတယ္။

ျပင္သစ္ဟာ ဥေရာပဇုန္ ေျခစစ္ပြဲေတြ ယွဥ္ၿပိဳင္ရာမွာ အုပ္စု (၇)ကို က်ေရာက္ခဲ့ၿပီး ဆားဘီယား၊ ၾသစႀတီးယား၊ လစ္သူေရးနီးယား၊ ရိုေမးနီးယား၊ ဖာရိုးကၽြန္းစုမ်ား တို႔နဲ႔ ရင္ဆိုင္ခဲ့ရ ပါတယ္။ ျပင္သစ္ အသင္းဟာ ၆ ပြဲႏိုင္၊ ၃ ပြဲသေရ၊ ၁ ပြဲသာ ရံႈးခဲ့ေပမယ့္ ဆားဘီးယား အသင္းထက္ တစ္မွတ္ေလ်ာ့ ေနလို႔ အုပ္စု ဒုတိယသာ ရရွိခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ တိုက္ရိုက္ ေျခစစ္ပြဲ မေအာင္ျမင္ဘဲ အေကာင္းဆံုး ဒုတိယ ၈ သင္း စာရင္းသာ ၀င္ခဲ့ၿပီး Play-off ကစားခဲ့ ရပါတယ္။ Play-off ပြဲစဥ္မွာ အိုင္ယာလန္ အသင္းကို အိမ္ကြင္း၊ အေ၀းကြင္း ႏွစ္ေက်ာ့ေပါင္း (၂-၁)ဂိုးနဲ႔ ႏိုင္ကာ ေျခစစ္ပြဲ ေအာင္ျမင္ခဲ့တာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
